Peter's road, from Galilee to Fallowfield
A name that is a mandate
Aramaic for rock, the name Jesus gave Simon: you will be called Cephas
(Jn 1:42). Petros in Greek, Petrus in Latin.
Jesus renamed no other disciple. It was not only a name; it was a mandate
(Benedict XVI, General Audience, 7 June 2006).
The deeper sense: a living rock. Peter himself writes, like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house
(1 Pt 2:5).

(§2), to enter the construction sites of history
